Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Car Video ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our automotive video production service. We built this service for independent, used-car, and Buy-Here-Pay-Here (BHPH) dealers in the United States, and we wrote this policy in plain English so you can actually read it. 1. Who We Are

AI Car Video is a self-serve product that turns a dealer's car photos into a finished short marketing video. You upload photos of a vehicle, pay, and our AI assembles a vertical 9:16 video with music and captions that you can post to your listings and social channels. The whole process is automated, which means there is no production crew handling your files by hand.

2. Information We Collect

We try to collect only what we need to deliver your videos and run the business. The categories of information we collect are these:

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and the password you set, plus your dealership name if you choose to provide it.
  • Uploaded car content. This is the heart of the service, so it covers the vehicle photos you upload along with any details you add about the car, such as the year, make, model, and asking price (for example, a "2019 Honda Accord — $18,990").
  • Payment information. When you buy a single video, a 10-pack, or a Pro subscription, our third-party payment processor collects and handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number, because the processor does that securely on its own systems.
  • Usage data. We collect basic technical and usage information when you use the dashboard, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, the videos you render, and which 3-second segments you re-roll. This helps us keep the product working and improve it over time.
  • Communications. If you email us or contact support, we keep your messages and our replies so we can help you and follow up if needed.

3. Why We Use Your Information

We use the information above to run the service and nothing sneaky beyond that. Specifically, we use it to create your videos from the photos you upload, to deliver the finished video to you (usually ready in about 15 minutes through a link in your dashboard), and to let you re-roll any 3-second segment you want to change. We also use it to process payments, to keep your account secure, to answer your questions, and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse. Finally, we use aggregated, non-identifying usage data to understand what is working so that we can make the product better.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We are not in the business of trading dealer data, because our business is making videos, and your trust is the only thing that keeps you coming back. The only parties that touch your data are the service providers we describe in the next section, and they only do so to help us run the product on your behalf.

5. Service Providers We Share Data With

To deliver the service, we rely on a small set of trusted third-party providers, and each of them only receives the data they need to do their job:

  • Hosting and storage providers, who store your account, your uploaded photos, and your finished videos so the dashboard works.
  • Our payment processor, who securely handles your card details and processes charges for single videos, 10-packs, and subscriptions.
  • Our AI render provider, who receives the uploaded photos and prompts so the video can be generated automatically.

These providers are bound by contract to protect your information and to use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if it is needed to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, because we need it to log you in and provide the service. Your uploaded photos and the videos we generate are kept for up to 12 months so that you can come back, re-download, and re-roll segments, after which they may be deleted from our active systems. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will honor that request as described below, except where we are legally required to keep certain records, such as transaction records for tax purposes.

7. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you specific rights over your personal information, and we extend the same options to all of our users wherever they live. Your rights include the following:

  • The right to know, which lets you ask us what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we shared it with.
  • The right to delete, which lets you ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to the legal exceptions noted above.
  • The right to correct, which lets you ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
  • The right to opt out, which would apply if we ever sold your information or shared it for targeted advertising, and since we do neither, there is nothing for you to opt out of today.
  • The right to non-discrimination, which means we will never charge you more or give you a worse service because you exercised any of these rights.

8. How to Make a Privacy Request

To exercise any of the rights above, just email us at hello@aicarvideo.com with a short note about what you would like us to do. We will verify your request by confirming the email address tied to your account, and we may ask for a little more detail if we need it to find your records. We aim to respond within the timelines required by law, and you are welcome to use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, and our providers are chosen in part for their security practices. No system is perfectly secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is built for car dealers and is not directed at children, so we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we learn that we have collected such information by mistake, we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time so that it keeps pace with the product and the law, and when we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will make a reasonable effort to let you know, and your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
